Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto no. 2 & 3 are presumably the most popular repertoires among its genre. He also wrote 2 pianos reductions of rarely played concertos (no. 1 & 4) and Rhapsody on the theme of Paganini. These scores are published by Boosey & Hawks, but most of the pianists use them for practice and enthusiasts see while listening to the recordings. Second piano part is much like a sketch rather than the realization of the orchestra. So you can’t say it is as good as his Suite no. 1 & 2… But how many persons have listened to the 2 piano versions actually? The dynamic sonority of the orchestra is blown away, and the skeleton of the musical texture appeared. With 2 piano reduction, you can deeply understand how the composer constructs the music. It is a newly remixed version of the formally separated released CDs in 2009 and 2010.

Who is Michael Nanasakov?

The first VIRTUAL pianist of the world who plays unplayable, ignored or rarely played pieces. The public profile is “Born in Lithuania, Vitrinus 1955”, but actually Nanasakov is a project with a computer and an automatic playing piano by its producer, Junichi Nanasawa. In 1990, Michael debuted with complete Godowsky’s Chopin Studies recoding. At the period there’s no satisfying recording of them, so he gained a unique reputation with his SUPER-HUMAN technique.
